ProSurvey is a site survey solution for surveying 802.11a/b/g/n networks indoors and out. The software has been sold since 2001 and still beats the competition for recording accurate results.

Why? Our methodology is to hoist a mast in a proposed location for install with an AP running and walk around with any Telnet client and record readings. These are stored on a laptop connected to the AP and saved in a grid x/y position. Unlike the competion we can survey at any power level on the AP or client, with any aftermarket antenna on the AP or client.

Being agnostic we record a whole range of vendors statistics from Proxim to HP, Cisco to Colubris and we record the results after both transmit and receive to and from the AP not just one way e.g. to a laptop!

We firmly believe to survey a site you have to visit it. Why? suppose you try to 'model' or use 'predictive' tools for the number of AP's in a building, do they take into account 'Foreign' AP's from other offices or buildings? NO they don't! Whilst these types of tools can be relatively successful in a new build building which is open plan or with plasterboard partitions anything out of the ordinary e.g. a 5ft thick sandstone wall that is wet may not show as an option in these tools, what do we do? stand the other side and take a few readings which takes all of a few minutes to do.
